Kirk Franklin knows how to make people smile.
And his wife, Tammy Franklin, is helping him do that this week with their #InMyFeelingsChallenge, the latest social media dance-off trend that followed R&B singer and rapper Drake's album release.
Drake's album Scorpion features an upbeat, emotional track called "In My Feelings," and it's getting celebrities and social media users to post videos of their dance using the #ShiggyChallenge and #InMyFeelingsChallenge hashtags.
Kirk, a multiple Grammy winner, is making North Texas proud with his and Tammy's debut. According to his Instagram page, his son helped direct the viral video, which has more than 1.2 million views on Instagram.
The choreography is outstanding from the beginning of their dance. Then, the Franklins throw in a gospel remix in the middle of it all. It's such an infectious beat that you just start dancing while watching them.
Other celebrities including Ciara and Russell Wilson, Sterling K. Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson from This is Us, Odell Beckham Jr. and even Drake participated. Will Smith also has received praise for his creative video.
But I'll say that in terms of musical craft, the Franklins win this #InMyFeelingsChallenge.
