Erykah Badu and Mark Cuban co-star in the new trailer for 'What Men Want'

Erykah Badu stars as a gift-giving psychic and Mark Cuban cameos as a poker buddy in the new trailer for What Men Want that was released on Aug. 14.

In What Men Want, Taraji P. Henson stars as Ali Davis, a sports agent primed to make partner at her firm. She's disappointed when the boss gives another, male agent her ball to run with. A friend suggests she visit a psychic (a spectacularly coiffed Badu), who says "I can help you connect with men." After that and a wild night out in which she bangs her head, she starts hearing the thoughts of men.

The comedy also stars Aldis Hodge (Underground) as a potential love interest; Tracy Morgan (The Last O.G.); Richard Roundtree (always and forever Shaft); Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs, Bridesmaids); Max Greenfield (New Girl); and Brian "The Boz" Bosworth (Stone Cold).

Add the comedy to the list of distaff versions of movies past (see Ocean's 8 and Ghostbusters). Romantic comedy What Women Want (2000, PG-13, 127 mins.) starred Mel Gibson as an advertising executive who gains the ability to hear women's thoughts. Helen Hunt co-starred.

What Men Want has a scheduled release date of Jan. 11.
